The Manor House is a beautiful, old yellowwood and stone building offering three unique and private suites for those who have a taste for accommodation of subtle distinction. The other alternative is to utilize the family friendly nature of the Manor House for larger groups of people which allows for fantastic reunions and great get togethers. Built by the famous ceramic artist, David Walters, it has beautiful mosaic and yellowwood tile floors as well as a sunken lounge and library. Incidentally, the Midlands Meander was conceived in the Manor House and the original Founder’s Meeting took place at Caversham Mill.
The Country Cottages offer self-catering accommodation in Victorian-style wood and iron, which date from the early 1900’s. There are four cottages varying in size and unique charm. This charming uniqueness comes from the fact that they are not purpose built holiday accommodation but were built for farm managers and their families to live in and they come with all the prerequisites, whether it be a fireplace for those snowy wintery evenings or atrium dining rooms leading out onto the manicured gardens for those long summer evenings.
The Caversham Mill Restaurant sits right next to the impressively noisy Lions River waterfall and the historical site of the original Caversham Mill. Recently voted the best outdoor restaurant in KZN it is a first class establishment serving contemporary country food with the occasional twist there and here. It also boasts an award winning wine list and fine selection of ‘unusual craft’ beers. Another feature of Caversham Mill is their ability to get renowned musicians to bring their talents up to the Midlands for the locals to enjoy amidst the beauty of their countryside
